When the fiber port on Reyee NBS switch doesn't light up, you can follow these steps to do troubleshooting first: 1). Check the optical module type/model on both sides to see whether they are correct or not. Note: BIDI modules must be used in pairs. If FE-SFP-LX20-SM1310-BIDI is used at one end, then FE-SFP-LX20-SM1550-BIDI must be applied to the other end. 2). Login to the Reyee NBS switch, and check the physical port settings to see whether it is the same as the peer end. Including this: duplex mode, port rate, and attribute. 3). Use the optical module to connect two ports on the same Reyee NBS switch and perform a self-loop test to confirm whether the optical module is damaged or not. Notes: ① Please disable STP/RSTP/RLDP on the NBS switch first before you do this test. ② Self-loop test is not allowed for 20KM and above, which will lead to the breakdown of optical modules. 4). When a dual-fiber optical module is used, if both ends of the switch are lit up when performing a self-loop test, but not when they are connected. Please swap the (RX) and (TX) of the optical module on one end of the switch and test to confirm if the connection was reversed before. |
