How would I choose to do a failback? I have to ISP's, on WAN0 and WAN1. I tested the FAILOVER and it works, however the FAILBACK did not. When WAN0 has recovered it stayed in WAN1. Can someone explain how would I go about choosing a Load Balancing Policy? Also, can you explain the differences between these 4 TIA |
Dear User 48367, Please refer to page 50 of https://www.ruijienetworks.com/resources/preview/ruijie-reyee-rg-eg-series-routers-web-based-configuration-guide-release-reyeeos-2-237 for the difference between different load balancing policy: Best regards, Jayden |
GTAC-Jayden replied at 2023-9-23 15:43 The help option found on the eWeb is THE SAME on the page 50 and this document and neither explains how I would go about a failback option nor a documented explanation if Active/Secondary has one. That option/feature should have been OOTB. |
User 48367 replied at 2023-9-23 18:28Dear User 48367, If you configure the Active/Secondary mode, all the traffic will go through the primary interface and only switches to secondary interface when the primary interface is detected as offline. When the primary interface is online again, the traffic will be restored to primary interface, may I please know how you tested the failback? You may use traceroute function to check which route the traffic is going through. Best regards, Jayden |
GTAC-Jayden replied at 2023-9-23 19:15 Dear Jayden, I manually plugged out the primary, rolling off to the secondary ISP after a few seconds. I plugged in to the Primary and waited to Failback which it didn't happen. Upon checking my public IP and tracerouting it still the same. WAN0 has low ping in some games, WAN1 has very high ping in some games. This is why I'm concerned about the failback |
