RG-3230 for WiFi authentication only

Hi, Is it possible to insert the RG-3230 into an existing network and use it for Wi-Fi authentication only ? IF so, how ? Note : All access points are RG-820-L(V3) with multiple SSIDs on multiple VLANs Thank you.  |

Dear sir it may not support, because it you want to configure authentiaction on the EG3230 the authentcation user will need to obtain the ip address from the EG3230 and pass the authtication But we also noticed there is Ruijie AP, in that case, you can configure captive portal on the Ruijie Aps and user will need to do the authenticaiton even there is no EG3230 connect to the network best regards, Ross |
GTAC-Ross replied at 2024-9-6 13:13 Thank you for the response. Reason behind this query is that at present I am using Ruijie Cloud for authentication and I want to have a local authentication in the event that the Cloud is down for one reason or the other. |
