: The DHCP server function is enabled by default in the router mode. You are advised to enable the function if the device is used as the sole router in the network. When multiple routers are connected to the upper-layer device through LAN ports, disable this function.

2. Configuring the DHCP Server Function
Go to the configuration page:

Method 1:ChooseOne-Device > Config > Network > LAN> LAN Settings.

Method 2:ChooseNetwork-Wide > Workspace > Wired> LAN > LAN Settings.

Start
: Enter the start IP address of the DHCP addresspool. A client obtains an IP address from the address pool. If all theaddresses in the address pool are used up, no IP address can be obtained fromthe address pool.

IPCount
: Enter the numberof IP addresses in the address pool.

LeaseTime(Min)
: Enter theaddress lease term. When a client is connected, the leased IP address isautomatically renewed. If a leased IP address is not renewed due to clientdisconnection or network instability, the IP address will be reclaimed afterthe lease term expires. After the client connection is restored, the client canrequest an IP address again. The default lease term is 30 minutes.
