Device: RG-EG105GW-X Current Working Firmware: OS280 Problematic Firmware: OS340 Issue: After upgrading to the latest firmware, Netflix App on MiBox and Smart TVs stopped working entirely, even though they are not connected to the Guest VLAN with captive portal enabled. Netflix on mobile and PC worked fine, but the app on MiBox/TV would fail to load content. After downgrading firmware, everything works again. Conclusion: It seems that captive portal in the new firmware globally affects HTTPS or DNS handling in a way that breaks Netflix App's strict network verification. Please investigate and fix this behavior in future firmware updates. Thank you. Yayak |
Dear customer, This issue is caused by a feature implemented in the new version to prevent VPN traffic from bypassing the captive portal by disguising as DNS request. Unfortunately, it someshow blocks DNS traffic of some smart TV models. Our R&D team is currently working on it and will soon release ReyeeOS 360 version to resolve this issue. |
