Hello everyone i need help. this is my first time using rg-wall for enterprise. what i want to achieve is high availbility system design without change the current network topology. here's my topology.![]() how do i configure the rg-wall so that it can be like the picture above. 1. someone told me that the RG-Wall cannot function optimally if it is made transparent mode with the nat on the router. for the RG-Wall to function effectively, the RG-Wall must be placed before the router in routing mode and the nat masquared is on the RG-Wall. is that correct? 2. can the RG-Wall be configured with a bridge inside the LACP that carrying a vlan inside, 2 LACP for HA system? 3. whether with RG-Wall transparent mode we can block urls & active applications such as whatsapp & youtube. Thank you |
Dear sir, Good day. 1.Correct. 2.Cannot. 3.Yes, can support with transparent mode. For more details you may check this user guide of the firewall: https://www.ruijie.com/en-global/support/documents/slide_rg-wall-1600-z-s-series-cloud-managed-firewalls-ngfw-ntos-1-0r10-user-manual/#_Toc196145283 Best regards, Lex |
GTAC-Lex replied at 2025-5-16 14:25 thanks for your replies. i got question regarding link aggregration.. 1. i need to setup RG-Wall in transparant mode with 4 LACP in 1 bridge (idk if i need to put this into 1 bridge or not. CMIIW) in transparent mode. and the bridge will carry out 4 vlan. my question is can the RG-Wall work seamlessly to secure my network like a common IDS, IPS, app & url blocking ? ![]() |
