The Device Is Unreachable over SNMP and the Device Information Cannot Be Obtained |
1. The SNC and device cannot ping each other. Countermeasure: The network malfunctions. Ask the customer to help rectify the fault. 2. SNMP Port 161 is blocked by the firewall. Use the MIB tool to check whether the port is actually blocked by the firewall. Countermeasure: The fault is caused by environment settings. Ask the customer to help rectify the fault. 3. No SNMP community string is configured for the device. Countermeasure: Run the following command on the device (the command uses the community string public as an example): snmp-server community public rw 4. The SNMP community string configured on the device is inconsistent with the SNMP template on the SNC. Countermeasure: Set the SNMP community string on the device so that it is consistent with the SNMP template on the SNC. |
