How do I recover EG eweb password?

You can follow these steps to recover EG password:
1.Know the CLI password, change the password on the CLI:
Ruijie(config)# webmaster username admin passwordruijie@123
Ruijie(config)#end
Ruijie#write
Note: If the password is too simple, it will prompta failure. A combination of numeric symbols and letters is required
2.Do not know CLI password
Note:a.Before password recovery, prepare theconfiguration cable.
b. Password recovery requires device restart, which will cause network disconnection. Please perform password recovery when network disconnection is convenient.

a. Prepare a configuration cable for password restoration. During password restoration, restart the device on the uboot command line to complete the operation.
b. Restart the device by pressing ctrl+c to access the ctrl layer and then ctrl+q to access the uboot command line and run the main_config_password_clear command.
(3) Configuration procedure
a. Use the configuration cable to connect the console port of the device and use the network cable to connect the inner network port of the EG device.
b. Use software Putty to configure network devices.
Open your software Putty, set the baud rate to 9600.


c. Power off and on the device, then press Ctrl + C repeatedly in the Putty interface until the main menu is displayed. As shown in the picture:



Then press Ctrl+Q to enter the uboot command line, enter main_config_password_clear, enter the device and restart the system.



After the device restarts, enter enable to enterglobal mode, and change the privilege password and WEB administrator passwordin the configuration mode as follows:
Configure a new WEB password
Ruijie>enable
Ruijie#conf t
Ruijie(config)#webmaster level 0 username adminpassword admin -- The new username and password are admin
Ruijie(config)#exit
The privileged password of the command line isconfigured
Ruijie(config)# enable secret admin -- Set thecommand line privilege password to admin
Ruijie#write ----Save the configuration
When VPN and WEB authentication are enabled, userauthentication is performed on the console interface. Therefore, you need tochange the password for user authentication. Otherwise, you can not log in tothe console interface after logging out.
Ruijie(config)#username admin password admin
Note: Do not exit before changing the password after entering the system, otherwise you need to enter the original password again.
