How do I implement the network Active/Standby switchover for Ruijie EG

When the EG  works on two external networks, the active/standby switchover can be implemented automatically through routes.

1. Topology:

2.Choose Network---Route/Load---IP-Based Route---Add Static Route

Configure the active and standby routes as follows:

The destination network segment and mask are both 0.0.0.0, but different next hops need to be associated. One is the primary route and the other is the backup route.

3.Choose Network---Interface---Link Detection

IP ADD Specifies the public address of ISP or other public address. The next hop is the gateway address.

Note: If Link Detection is not configured, the switching is implemented only when the interface is down. The switching is not automatically implemented when the external network fails.

4. Configuration verification

1)Ruijie#show dldp int g0/0

Id  Ip_addr         Next-hop        Mode    Interval Retry Resume State Down_times Up_times Start_time          Interface

--- --------------- --------------- ------- -------- ----- ------ ----- ---------- -------- ------------------- -------------------

0   8.8.8.8     172.26.4.1     active  100     3     1      UP    0          1        2012-12-21 14:22:58 GigabitEthernet 0/0

If the status is UP, the link detection is normal. If the status is DOWN, the link detection fails.

Ruijie#show dldp int g0/2

Id  Ip_addr         Next-hop        Mode    Interval Retry Resume State Down_times Up_times Start_time          Interface

--- --------------- --------------- ------- -------- ----- ------ ----- ---------- -------- ------------------- -------------------

2   8.8.8.8    17.26.5.1    active  100     3     1      UP    0          1        2012-12-21 14:23:9  GigabitEthernet 0/2

2)Test the detection effect

Disconnects a link to an interface. After the maximum number of probes is reached, DLDP automatically detects:

*Dec 21 14:43:26: %LINEPROTO-0-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet 0/0, changed state to down.

*Dec 21 14:43:26: %DLDP-0-STATECHANGE: Interface GigabitEthernet 0/0 - DLDP 172.26.4.1 state changed to down.

After the link is restored, DLDP detects the link and sets the protocol status of the interface to UP:

*Dec 21 14:46:26: % ldp-1-statechange: Interface GigabitEthernet 0/1-DLDP 172.26.4.1 state changed to up.

*Dec 21 14:46:26: %LINEPROTO-1-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet 0/1, changed state to up.
