Scenario 1. Captive portal authentication with Ruijie EG Configuration Steps: Step 1: Make sure the EG is online on Ruijie Cloud Step 2: Create the portal template, and select the Account auth mode. Step 3:Click Synchronize Step 4: Choose the portal template and click OK to sync the portal to EG Step 5: Go to EG eWEB, and enable the Local Server Auth and Auth Integration with Cloud Notice: You need to add a policy and set the ip range which needs to authenticate Step 6: Wait 2 minutes, check the portal template has been synced to the EG. Step 7: On Cloud, the status of captive portal shows the date of the last synchronization. Step 8: Create a user group on Ruijie Cloud and create accounts bound with this user group. Step 8: Check if the accounts created have been synced to the EG. Scenario 2. Captive portal authentication with Reyee EG Step 1: Make sure the Reyee EG is online on Ruijie Cloud and click its SN in the list to enter the config page Step 2: Click the "Cloud portal Auth" to configure the portal on Cloud Step 3: enable the Auth first, then click Add to set the IP range which needs to authenticated. Click Add a new portal and select the Account auth mode. Note: It's necessary to add the mac addresses of the downlink devices (AP, Switch, etc.) to the whitelist on the Reyee EG via its eweb page when the downlink devices' ip addresses belong to the ip segment which will be authenticated. (EG is the gateway of the users) Step 4: Click the corresponding portal and you will see the green check mark. Finally click Save Step 5: Enter the eweb page of EG and you will see the Authentication (Cloud Auth) function has been enabled . Note: If the EG is the gateway of the users, Network Type should be Layer-2 Network. And please add mac addresses of the downlink devices to the whitelist (Already mentioned before). If the EG is in a different ip segment from the downlink devices and the users, Network Type should be Layer-3 Network. And then please add ip addresses of the downlink devices to the whitelist of EG. Step 6: Create a user group on Ruijie Cloud and create accounts bound with this user group. Scenario 3. Captive portal authentication with Ruijie AP Step 1: Enter the wireless basic configure page and choose the SSID which needs to do authentication. Step 2: Enable the Auth Step 3: Click Add a new portal and select the Account auth mode. Step 4: After enabling the Auth, you need to choose the portal template to be used and set the seamless duration. Step 5: After clicking OK, the auth mode has been changed. In the end, don’t forget to click the save option to save all configurations. Step 6: Create a user group on Ruijie Cloud and create accounts bound with this user group. |
