How to do if EW router fails to do wireless repeater?

Troubleshooting steps
1. Check whether the SSID of main router can be searched. If can’t, please check the status or search the SSID by other devices.
Note: The repeater router can only repeat the SSID of 2.4G if it’s only support 2.4G. Under this situation, it’s necessary to check whether the main router broadcasts the SSID of 2.4G. If the main router only broadcast the SSID of 5G, the SSID can’t be searched.

Check whether the SSID of the main router has been searched:

2. If other devices, like your phone or PC, can search the SSID of main router, but repeater router can’t search this SSID, please closer the main and repeater routers and test again.
If the SSID of main router can be meshed, but still fails to repeat, please:
1）Check the password of SSID is input correctly or not


2) Check security way of main router. The repeat between two devices will fail if the security way of main router is not supported by repeater router. Please make sure that the security way of main router and repeater router are consistent.

3) Check the SSID characters of the main router. Repeating between two devices will fail If the SSID of main router has specific characters which are not supported by repeater router. Please make sure the characters of main router are supported by repeater router.
4）Please check the black/allow list of main router. If the black/allow list has been configured on main router, the repeater router can’s connect the SSID of main router.


3. If the SSID of main router can be searched, but the repeater still failed, please check whether the EW router can get the IP address via DHCP successfully. If can’t, please check the DHCP configuration of the DHCP server and change other device to check whether can get the IP address.


4. If the problems still can’t be resolved, please reset the device.
