Hello, can you please introduce your device model‘s firmware version and network topology, so that we can easily locate the problem?

When an AP (Access Point) device is not working properly, there could be several reasons:

Power - related issues

Power supply problem: The AP may not be receiving adequate power. For example, if it's connected to a faulty power adapter, the device might not turn on or may function erratically. Some APs have specific power requirements, and using an under - rated or damaged power supply can lead to issues.
Connectivity problems

Cable issues: If the AP is connected to a wired network (such as through an Ethernet cable), a damaged or loose cable can disrupt the connection. The cable might have been pinched, chewed by pets, or simply unplugged slightly from either the AP's Ethernet port or the network switch/router port it's connected to.

Hardware malfunction

Overheating: APs generate heat during operation. If the device's cooling mechanisms (such as built - in fans or heat sinks) are not working properly, the internal components can overheat. Over time, this can cause the AP to slow down, drop connections, or even stop working completely.
Software - related problems
Outdated firmware: The AP's firmware is the software that controls its operation. If the firmware is out of date, it may contain bugs or lack support for new security protocols or network features. Manufacturers often release firmware updates to fix performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
