I want to filter my network searches, I want to use OpenDNS or something that can be setup on my reyee router. I used to have Aruba and those helped me filtering adult content, violence and much other things, is there a way to setup my Reyee to do that too? |
Dear sir You can configure app control to block the specific application on reyee EG via Behavior > App Control as the following picture shows: You can also refer to the following guide: https://reyee.ruijie.com/en-global/resources/preview/77430/ on page161 about the app block configuration steps: Best regards Jenny |
GTAC-Jenny replied at 2024-10-28 13:33 Sure I can block websites and apps, but that's why I'm asking to filter content, because there is an infinite number of adult pages, anime adult content, violence, gambling and much more, blocking just 1 app or 1 webpage won't solve my problem... any ideas on how to fix this? |
Oswaldo Cano replied at 2024-10-28 13:36 Dear sir You need to custom the APP or URL and manually add all to block them. |
GTAC-Jenny replied at 2024-10-28 18:18 And again, I don't want to block google, I just want the router to filter violence and inappropriate content for kids... I want my kids to search the web but to do it by using OpenDNS or cloud flare or whatever service is worth trying to make the search safe |
Oswaldo Cano replied at 2024-10-31 13:29 Hi sir, Sorry, reyee EG does not currently have preset groups for negative label sites such as pornography, violence, etc. I have already proposed your requirements to R&D. Best regards, Steve |
GTAC-Steve replied at 2024-10-31 13:39 Is it posible to setup a service like openDNS on a reyee router? Please check OpenDNS.com it filters content through DNS, but I don't know how to set it up... |
Oswaldo Cano replied at 2024-10-31 13:42 Dear, Good day. Regarding website and application control, we currently have a series of feature libraries pre-installed on our EG. You can disable most of the related websites by selecting the feature library category. As for the OpenDNS function you mentioned, we have fed back to our R&D department for evaluation. Best regards, Lex |
GTAC-Lex replied at 2024-10-31 13:57 It would be nice to be able to filter, when will you have an answer on you R&D department? |
Oswaldo Cano replied at 2024-10-31 14:28 Dear Cano, From your description, I gather that you want to use the web filter service of the OpenDNS.com. Is it right? If I understand it correctly, such service can be integrated into a router by configuring the DNS of the router. Once you have finished your settings on the OpenDNS.com, you can configure the DNS proxy in the RG-EG105G-P V2. Once it is configured, client devices in your intranet will use the DNS server in the DNS proxy when making queries. |
