How to config the PPSK auth in Ruijie cloud new web UI？

Introduction of PPSK

PPSK (Private Pre-Shared Key) authentication is a security mechanism used in wireless networks that combines elements of 802.1X authentication and personal pre-shared keys. In a PPSK architecture, each user or device can have a unique key that is assigned by the network administrator, allowing different keys for different user groups.

Here’s how PPSK works:

User Authentication: When a user attempts to connect to a wireless network supporting PPSK, the wireless access point (AP) requests credentials to authenticate the user.

Key Allocation: If the user's credentials areverified by the authentication server, it will then determine whether to use PPSK and which key to use based on the user's profile. Each user can have one or more PPSKs.

Secure Connection Establishment: Once the correct PPSK is established, the AP uses this key to establish an encrypted connection with the user’s device.

Applied scenarios

The advantage of PPSK is that it allows enterprises to provide personalized security policies for each user or user group while simplifying key management and distribution processes.Compared to traditional pre-shared key schemes, PPSK offers better security and flexibility because it allows customizing access permissions based on user identity and enables changing specific user keys without reconfiguring all users.
